Maintenance Electrician

We are currently seeking a full-time Electrician to join our Electrical Department, supporting a range of government, commercial, and industrial maintenance contracts.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• General preventative maintenance (RCDs, emergency lighting, push button testing)
  
• Upgrading electrical systems in commercial and government buildings
  
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
  
• Installation of general power and lighting
  
• Measuring and ordering materials for upcoming works
  

One of the key benefits of this role is our mobile, field-based system -  there’s no need to report to the office each morning. You’ll travel directly from home to your first job of the day.

Requirements

• Current Electrical Trade Licence
  
• Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience (preferred)
  
• Experience in government maintenance contracts and/or commercial environments (highly regarded)
  
• Current Driver’s Licence
  
• Valid Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one
  
• Construction White Card
  
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
  
• High standard of workmanship with strong attention to detail
  
• Own basic electrical tools (specialist tools provided by AWB)
  
• Strong IT skills, including experience using iPads and mobile job management systems (e.g. SimPRO – highly regarded)
  
• Clear verbal communication skills
  
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  
• Additional tickets or certifications (advantageous)
  
• Positive, can-do attitude, with  a strong work ethic
