Casual Retail Showroom Assistant

Independent Living Specialists is a fast-growing business in the rapidly expanding Health Care industry.

ILS has evolved over the last 18 years to be the largest retailer of Assistive Technology equipment in Australia. We have 60 showrooms and over  800+ team members located in the ACT, NSW, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, and are continuing to expand our footprint.

A unique opportunity exists for a driven Casual Showroom Assistant at our Auburn, NSW Showroom.

Your positive and persistent approach to customer service and community engagement will see your success in this location. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter with the will to succeed, who is not afraid to pro-actively build relationships and drive sales. Initially, this would be for approximately 15-30 hours per week, with no weekend work required.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging incoming customers, assisting them with their questions and being able to convey the range of services that are available

• Respond to email enquiries and liaise with customers over the phone to fulfill requests.

• Providing information to customers about our products from physiotherapy items to mobility scooters, recliner lift chairs through to our range of home care beds, home oxygen therapy and more…

• Processing quotes, orders and hire contracts efficiently.

• Following all WHS requirements at a showroom level.

• You will be keen to go above and beyond to interact with your community and increase store exposure

• You will have strong communication skills 

• You will be well presented, professional and courteous

• You will have fantastic interpersonal skills and love connecting with people from all walks of life

• Have a genuine desire to help others with your knowledge and abilities.

• You will have second to none administration skills, including the ability to prioritise your time

• You may have SAP experience, which is preferable to have.

• You will be a self-motivated, creative thinker, able to problem solve and seek out new opportunities

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Proof of Working Rights in Australia
