Join NPT’s High Acuity Transport Service (HATS).National Patient Transport (NPT) is seeking experienced and qualified Critical Care Registered Nurses (CCRNs) to join our High Acuity Transport Service (HATS) team in Victoria.
This is a unique opportunity to provide advanced care in a mobile environment — transporting stable but complex patients between hospitals across the state, including ICUs, EDs, and CCUs.
Key DetailsFlexible Work Options: Casual, Part-Time or Full-Time with various options for shift start times
Workdays: Monday to Sunday
Location: Based at Noble Park, Mitcham and Campbellfield
Autonomy in Action – Apply your ICU/ED expertise with 1:1 patient care in a mobile setting
Structured Shifts – Predictable 10-hour blocks, no last-minute callouts
Broaden Your Scope – Gain advanced transport exposure and interhospital networks
Be Part of a Specialist Team – Work alongside elite crews in a values-led organisation
Providing high-quality care for high acuity patients during inter-hospital transfers, with occasional low and medium acuity cases
Performing clinical assessments and interventions in line with NEPT Clinical Practice Protocols
Monitoring and managing patients throughout transfers across Victoria
Liaising with hospital staff and dispatch to ensure safe, appropriate care
Maintaining accurate documentation, equipment readiness, and infection control
Supporting other NPT clinical crews with advice and guidance
Registered Nurse – Division 1 with AHPRA registration
Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care (ICU or ED focus essential)
Minimum 2 years current experience in an ICU, CCU, or ED
ACLS certification
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
Up-to-date immunisation record
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and under pressure
