Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS provides a collaborative network of support for member ACCHS, offering a range of services including health promotion, social and emotional wellbeing support, and accredited training.

The Registered Nurse Level 1 (Dialysis Nurse) is based in Fitzroy Crossing on a Full-time basis. You will play a vital role in delivering culturally safe nursing care to clients with renal health needs. This position requires managing a client caseload, supervising new staff, and contributing to the continuous quality improvement of services at the Renal Health Centre. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to clients and their families.

• Manage a client caseload and deliver nursing care in accordance with protocols and best practise guidelines.
• Supervise and educate new staff, supporting their integration into the team.
• Utilise assessment tools to evaluate clients' responses to treatment and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Coordinate shifts and ensure safe, effective care delivery in the absence of senior staff.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled nurse with a commitment to Aboriginal health and community service. You will possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

• Hold a current nursing certificate and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration.
• Have at least 18 months of experience in haemodialysis nursing or be enrolled in a training program.
• Demonstrate experience in supervising junior staff and promoting a positive team culture.
• Possess a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one.

The salary for this position is $132,697 per annum pro rata. Additional benefits include:

• Accommodation provided while in the community, 
• Annual airfare allowance of $1,683 after 12 months of service, 
• Relocation reimbursement of up to $5,000 upon providing receipts,
• Optional salary sacrifice of up to $30,000 per annum pro rata.
