As our Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face, voice, and engine of our specialized WHS and safety store.

We are not looking for a passive cashier. We want a motivated go-getter who craves variety and wants to build a diverse skill set. One day you will be smash-hitting your sales targets and advising clients on compliant WHS and fire safety equipment; the next, you will be designing striking storefront displays, creating engaging content for our social media, or hitting the road to support our operations team. What You Will Do - Key Responsibilities

• Sales, Marketing & Digital Performance

  • Meet and exceed store KPIs and monthly targets.

  • Pitch safety equipment based on unique client needs.

  • Upsell relevant and cross seel over the fire and safety industries

  • Coordinate B2B sales

  • Create, manage, and execute engaging content for store social media platforms.

  • Manage email subscriber lists for upcoming digital promotions

  • Transactions & Data Management

  • Process secure payments using EFTPOS and cash systems.

  • Enter customer details into the CRM accurately.

  • Assist in updating digital promotions and product content online.

  • Inventory, Logistics & Operations

  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy via daily stock counts.

  • Update stock levels in the system immediately upon arrival.

  • Execute strict stock rotation based on product expiry dates.

  • Work collaboratively within a team to support day-to-day operations.

  • Travel on the road to pick up and deliver stock as required.

  • Visual Merchandising

  • Build striking stock displays that highlight seasonal safety risks.

  • Design engaging window displays to increase foot traffic.

  • Keep all shelves clean, priced correctly, and fully stocked.

• Physical & Licensing Requirements

  • Driver's Licence: Must hold a valid, current Full Driver's Licence with the capability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.

  • Heavy Lifting: Must be able to safely lift and carry stock weights up to 15 kg (e.g., commercial fire extinguishers).

  • Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout a full retail shift

  • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record in retail sales meeting strict targets.

  • Experience managing business social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

  • High proficiency with EFTPOS terminals and POS software.

  • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills to explain technical safety standards simply.

  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to assist team members across departments.

Work hours and commitments

Rotating roster 4 - 5 days a week and rostered /shared saturday mornings
