We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to scale out our backend processes to enhance our onboarding experience for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who is strong in Node.js, and experienced enough with a compiled language such as Go, .NET, or Java.

You’ll work on backend services and integrations. We’re looking for someone who is detail orientated and can build reliable systems.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and compiled languages.

• Work with customer systems, APIs, and third-party platforms.

• Develop integrations with external systems, including ERP, finance, resourcing, and calendar platforms.

• Debug backend and data issues across services and databases.

• Improve engineering standards around testing, code quality, documentation, and maintainability.

• Strong professional experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a senior or technical leadership role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and compiled languages in production environments.

• Experience designing and consuming APIs, including REST APIs and third-party integrations.

• Experience building reliable backend systems that handle real customer data.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

• You’re comfortable operating with ownership and autonomy.

• You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates.

• You’re pragmatic, show initiative, and propose solutions where needed.

• Core languages: Node.js, and compiled languages

• Additional language experience: Go, .NET, or Java

• Core strengths: backend systems, APIs, integrations, data manipulation
