Electrical Meter Technician

GAF TECH Pty Ltd is a recognised field service provider based in Western Sydney supplying a high quality metering service to a reputable national metering provider since 2016.

Our business is continually growing which calls for additional field staff within our bulk meter exchange program. We are offering a position for meter technician / level 2 electrician to engage in smart meter exchanges and maintenance works.

Duties & qualifications:

• Removal of electricity metering devices and replacement with digital smart metering.

• Resolving communication faults associated with digital smart metering.

• Carry out specific testing at switchboards and recording information.

• Knowledge and commitment to work, health and safety.

• Sound understanding of the relevant network standards.

• Depot located in Girraween, Western Sydney (for stock pickup and some waste disposal).

The successful candidates must have:

• Type 4 Meter Installation Training Certificate.

• Have safety awareness, and work within industry safety standards.

• Be familiar with metering work, with the relevant meter provider.

• Be reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.

The following qualifications are notably favourable:

• PLUS ES Metering Competency

• Experience in CT Metering

• Experience in Meter / CT Accuracy Testing

• Level 2 ASP Qualifications
