The Role - Build Cost Analyst Cadet

In this role, you'll monitor build costs, investigate variances, track overruns and identify opportunities to improve profitability across our operations. Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you'll deliver meaningful reporting, benchmark performance and provide the insights needed to support smarter decisions and sustainable growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and manage overruns, ensuring extra costs are accurately coded, allocated and recorded.

• Liaising with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve performance, and profitability.

• utilising overrun data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

• Ensure purchase orders are allocated correctly in line with approved rates.

• Process and manage a high volume of order requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Skills & Experience

• Experience or knowledge of residential construction, materials and trades (desirable)

• Understanding of financial management principles

• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and recommends practical improvements

• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Experience with Databuild Estimating Software will be highly regarded
