We’re looking for an experienced Club all-rounder who is ready to take the next step. In addition to your day-to-day Club Attendant duties, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake higher duties, develop your leadership skills and step up into a supervisory role when required.
About the role
As a Club Attendant, you’ll work across a variety of operational areas including beverage, reception and member services, gaming, KENO and TAB.
No two shifts are exactly the same, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working across the Club and can provide a consistently high level of service to our members and guests.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Welcoming members and guests and providing friendly, professional customer service
Checking membership and visitor requirements and ensuring Club entry requirements are followed
Processing membership applications and renewals
Responding to member and guest enquiries and providing accurate information about Club facilities, activities and promotions
Providing bar service, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Preparing and serving coffee and other hot beverages
Operating POS systems and undertaking cash handling duties
Assisting with gaming operations and TAB
Promoting Club activities, functions, promotions and membership initiatives
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and hygiene
Complying with RSA, RCG and all relevant Club policies and procedures
Assisting across other areas of the Club as required
Opportunity to step up
A key part of this position is the opportunity to undertake higher duties when required.
When rostered on higher duties, you’ll have the opportunity to build your leadership and operational experience by:
Supervising and coordinating employees on shift
Providing day-to-day direction, support and on-the-job training to team members
Leading by example and maintaining high standards of customer service and Club presentation
Coordinating staff deployment and assisting with operational coverage throughout the shift
Monitoring compliance with liquor, gaming and other legislative requirements
Ensuring Club policies and procedures are followed
Responding to member and guest concerns, complaints and incidents
Providing coaching and feedback to employees and escalating performance matters to management where required
Assisting with cash control, reconciliations and other shift procedures
Completing required reports, checklists, incident reports and operational records
Communicating operational issues and providing clear handovers to management
Supporting opening and closing procedures where required
Making sound operational decisions within the responsibilities of the higher-duties role
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to develop within the Club industry.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Club, hospitality or similar customer-service environment
Current NSW RSA and RCG competency card
Experience across bar, gaming, reception or member services
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confidence dealing with difficult or challenging situations
Cash handling and POS experience
A strong understanding of the importance of compliance, policies and procedures
The ability to remain calm, organised and make sound decisions in a busy environment
The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
A professional presentation and positive attitude
Reliability and a willingness to take ownership and responsibility
Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Duty Manager will be highly regarded, however we’re equally interested in experienced Club Attendants who are ready to take the next step in their career.
Weekend availability is essential for this role. We understand the importance of work-life balance and will provide roster flexibility where operational requirements allow.
Why join us?
This isn’t just an opportunity to take on another Club Attendant role.
We’re looking for someone who wants to learn, develop and progress. You’ll gain exposure across Club operations, have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and build practical leadership experience through higher-duties shifts.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an important part of the Waverley Greens team while continuing to develop your career within the Club industry.
If you’re ready for your next step, we’d love to hear from you.
