Team Leader / Qualified Gardener

About the role

Perennial Property Services is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader / Qualified Gardener to join our growing garden maintenance team. We service quality residential, commercial and strata properties across Sydney. The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent full-time role for the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and working alongside a small garden maintenance team

• General garden and grounds maintenance

• Lawn mowing, edging and detailed finishing

• Hedging and pruning

• Plant identification and horticultural care

• Weed, pest and disease management

• Planting, mulching and soil improvement

• Basic irrigation inspection and maintenance

• Organising daily work and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently

• Maintaining high presentation and quality standards

About you

• Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent

• Previous professional garden maintenance experience

• Current Australian driver's licence (manual and trailer proficiency highly regarded)

• Good knowledge of gardening equipment and safe work practices

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

• Good attention to detail

• Physically capable of performing garden maintenance work

• Professional attitude when dealing with clients and other staff

• Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded

• Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience highly regarded
