The role is responsible for coordinating workflow, supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient movement of produce from harvest through to dispatch.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise packing shed staff and allocate daily tasksOversee washing, grading, sorting, packing, and labelling of produceOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and farm machinery as requiredMaintain hygiene, cleaning schedules, and food safety standardsComplete quality assurance checks and production paperworkManage stock rotation, storage, and dispatch preparationMonitor workflow to ensure efficiency and minimise downtimeEnsure compliance with workplace health and safety proceduresLiaise with farm management regarding daily production needsSkills & Experience RequiredPrevious experience in a horticulture, agriculture, or packing shed environmentAbility to supervise staff and coordinate daily operationsStrong understanding of produce handling, hygiene, and quality controlAbility to operate forklifts and machinery (or willingness to obtain licence)Good communication and organisational skillsAbility to work in a fast‑paced, physical environmentEmployment ConditionsFull‑time ongoing position38 hours per weekPaid under the Horticulture Award or above‑Award salarySalary of $79,499 per year (excluding superannuation)No non‑monetary benefits provided
