Due to a significant increase in project work with our clients, JY Australia is seeking experienced engineering support professionals to join our growing team and contribute to complex Defence capability programs.
We are interested in candidates with expertise across one or both of the following areas:Integrated Logistics Support, engineering logistics, supportability or reliability analysisConfiguration management, configuration analysis or technical data management
Opportunities may be available for experienced specialists and senior or lead-level practitioners.
About the opportunityYou will work as part of an integrated project environment, collaborating with engineering, project management, maintenance, supply, technical and commercial stakeholders.Depending on your background, your work may involve:Developing and improving engineering support and logistics solutions across the capability lifecycleUndertaking reliability, maintainability, availability and supportability analysisDeveloping support plans, analytical models, technical reports and recommendationsSupporting maintenance, supply, engineering and technical data activitiesEstablishing and maintaining product configurations, technical baselines and configuration recordsSupporting engineering change, configuration control and status-accounting processesPlanning and supporting configuration reviews and auditsManaging engineering, product and project data within controlled systemsMonitoring technical activities, risks, progress and performanceImproving engineering processes, governance, tools and supporting documentationWorking with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and multidisciplinary delivery teamsProviding guidance and mentoring to less-experienced personnel
What you will bringWe are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:At least four years of relevant professional experience, with additional experience expected for senior or lead-level opportunitiesExperience in Integrated Logistics Support, logistics support analysis, reliability engineering, configuration management or a related disciplineAn understanding of complex engineering systems and the relationship between design, maintenance, supply, support and technical dataExperience working with technical documentation, product structures, engineering data or controlled baselinesFamiliarity with engineering management, configuration management, product lifecycle management or logistics analysis systemsThe ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical, well-supported solutionsStrong written communication and technical reporting skillsConfidence working with customers and multidisciplinary stakeholdersThe ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with limited supervisionAustralian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance
A degree in engineering, science, technology, mathematics, business or a related discipline is desirable. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
Highly regardedThe following experience would be advantageous:Defence acquisition or in-service support environmentsComplex electronic, communications, maritime or software-intensive systemsReliability, maintainability and availability analysisMaintenance requirements analysis and support-system developmentConfiguration identification, engineering change control and configuration auditsEngineering or product data managementFormal training or certification in configuration management, systems engineering, logistics, reliability or project managementSupporting estimates, tenders or solution-development activitiesExperience guiding or mentoring technical personnel
