Disability Support Worker

About the role

Casual Disability Support Worker covering Pakenham, Warragul, Moe and Morwell. The role involves assisting with a multitude of different clientele. Shift times vary and are based on the needs of participants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist people with physical disabilities and/or psychosocial disabilities

• Support with manual handling where applicable

• Work in participants' homes

• Take participants to appointments

• Access the community with participants

About you

• Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum)

• Certificate IV in Disability (Ideal)

• NDIS screening check (preferred)

• Police check (up to date)

• Updated First Aid/CPR

• PEG / Stoma training (bonus)

• Previous experience working with young children

• Manual Handling exposure/training

• NDIS Module one completed (essential)

• Working With Children Check (preferred)

• Positive Behaviour Support (bonus)

• A licence and car is essential for this role

• Great communication skills with English as your first language

• Compassionate, self motivated, energetic

• Able to work open hours and offer back up if a shift becomes available
