Cleanworks Australia is seeking 2 experienced Leading Hand Cleaners to join our team, responsible for supervising and supporting a cleaning team across school sites in the northern suburbs.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality commercial cleaning standards while supporting and guiding a team to achieve excellent results.

You will play a key role in ensuring school facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing clean, safe and welcoming environments for students, staff and visitors.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading and supervising a team of commercial cleaners

• Allocating daily cleaning tasks and ensuring completion to required standards

• Conducting quality checks and providing feedback and support to team members

• Training and assisting new team members with cleaning procedures and site requirements

• Maintaining strong communication with management and site contacts

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff areas and common spaces

• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and amenities

• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces

• Managing consumables, equipment and reporting maintenance issues

• Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed

• Supporting school holiday cleaning requirements when required

✅ About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous school cleaning experience

• Experience leading or supervising a cleaning team (highly regarded)

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• The ability to communicate effectively and support team members

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage daily priorities

• A reliable and professional approach

• Experience in school or education facility cleaning (highly regarded)

• Current Working With Children Check

• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

• Reliable access to your own vehicle

• Availability to work during school holiday cleaning periods
