Creative Digital Designer & WordPress Specialist

Absolute Domestics is looking for an experienced Creative Digital Designer & WordPress Developer to join our marketing team.

This is a hands-on hybrid role combining digital design, WordPress website management and digital marketing support.

You’ll support our Paid Search, Social, SEO and AI Search activities by creating advertising and social media assets, building and updating landing pages, developing email campaigns and managing the day-to-day content, performance and visual presentation of our four WordPress websites.

You’ll work closely with our marketing team, including our Paid Search, Social and SEO specialists.

This role would suit someone who is equally comfortable creating great-looking digital artwork in Adobe or Canva as they are jumping into WordPress to build a landing page, make website changes or troubleshoot an issue.

• Design advertising creative for Google Display, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other digital campaigns

• Create landing page imagery, banners and promotional graphics

• Create on-brand social media posts, stories and basic animated content

• Design and build email campaigns and newsletters

• Manage day-to-day updates across three WordPress websites

• Edit and build website pages and landing pages

• Update blogs, imagery and website content

• Optimise website images and visual elements for performance and SEO

• Support Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), including implementing creative variants for A/B testing

• Work with our SEO specialist to improve on-page content and visual elements

• Assist with technical and on-page SEO implementation within WordPress

• Troubleshoot basic WordPress issues and manage plugin updates

• Assist with website performance, page speed and general site maintenance

• Make basic HTML/CSS changes where required

• Work with the marketing team on monthly and bi-monthly campaigns

We’re looking for someone who combines strong creative skills with practical WordPress and digital marketing experience.

Ideally, you will have:

• 5+ years' experience in digital design, web design, digital marketing or a similar creative role

• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, and/or Canva Pro

• Strong working knowledge of WordPress

• Experience editing website pages, building landing pages, updating blogs, uploading and optimising images and formatting web content

• Experience troubleshooting WordPress and working with plugins

• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge

• An understanding of website performance, page speed and responsive/mobile design

• A strong understanding of digital advertising creative and formats across Meta and Google

• Experience designing and building email campaigns using Mailchimp or similar platforms

• Experience creating and posting social media content, including posts, stories and reels

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to manage multiple briefs and priorities

• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT is advantageous

• Basic video editing skills are a bonus, but not essential
