BOREMETRICS is seeking experienced Permanent Fitters to join our growing team in Mackay, QLD. Based in Mackay QLD 4740, you will be integral to our operations, bringing your expertise in fitting and mechanical assembly to support our business objectives. What you'll be doing

• Assembling, fitting and installing mechanical components and equipment to spec

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions

• Performing precision fitting work with hand tools and measuring instruments

• Conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards

• Maintaining equipment and tools in good working order

• Collaborating with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures and protocols

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical fitting role

• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in fitting or mechanical assembly

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills and practical troubleshooting ability

• Reliability and strong work ethic

• Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
