Tool Repair Technician

About the Role

As a result of continued growth, Sydney Tools is seeking a Power Tool Repairer to join our team in Smithfield.

We are looking for a hands-on technician with an electrical or mechanical background who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will repair a range of leading brands including Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, DeWalt, Hitachi, Yamaha, and Chicago, while liaising with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with internal and external customers
• Maintain stock of parts
• Diagnose and repair cordless, electric, and hydraulic power tools and equipment
• Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify faults
• Interpret technical manuals to determine required replacement parts and reassemble tools according to manufacturer guidelines
• Repair defective mechanical components and rewire electrical systems, including soldering and insulating wiring
• Use computer systems to manage job tracking and reporting

About You

• Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in power tool repair or small petrol engine repair
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to meet deadlines and work to timelines
• Adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities
• Competent computer skills
