About the Role
As a Special Class Welder, you'll perform high-quality structural welding on complex Defence projects while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, quality and safety.
 
Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll contribute to building Australia's future naval capability while developing your skills on some of the country's most exciting engineering projects.
What You'll Bring
 
To be successful, you'll have:

• Australian Citizenship (mandatory due to Defence requirements)
• Trade qualifications as a Special Class Welder
• Proven structural welding experience
• Recent experience welding FCAW
• Previous shipbuilding or naval construction experience
• Strong knowledge of AS 1554.1 and high-integrity welding practices
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
• Ability to obtain a clear Federal Police Check
• Successful completion of a pre-employment weld test
