Registered Midwife or Registered Midwife/Nurse in Private rooms of Dr Joe Sgroi

Seeking highly motivated, organised and proactive Registered Midwives or Nurse/Midwives (RN/RM) to provide administrative and medical support in a busy practice to the Doctor, patients and admin staff.

As a minimum you must be a registered midwife. 

Education regarding fertility treatments will be provided to a successful applicant who does not have this skill set.

The job is exciting and varied. It encompasses routine antenatal care but also combining this with fertility. You will learn how to perform transvaginal ultrasound scanning to monitor patients throughout their fertility care. 

Your role will include follicle transvaginal scanning and managing patients undertaking fertility treatment. Whilst ultrasound skills are desirable, they are not mandatory and, on the job, training will be provided to acquire these skills.

The role is very unique in that it centres its care for women during fertility treatment and pregnancy.

You will assist our patients along their fertility and pregnancy journey using your knowledge, skills and experience to facilitate the best possible outcome by providing high-quality care.

Primary duties include:

• Care in all aspects of fertility and midwifery from pregnancy, birthing and post-natal care (experience in antenatal clinic ideal)

• Education around the use of fertility medications (applicant will receive training regarding fertility medications if no pre-existing experience)

• Performing transvaginal fertility scans

• Triaging fertility and obstetric patient concerns

With a focus on excellence in fertility, midwifery and nursing you will be part of our team nursing model in providing patient-centred care. 

We are recruiting for one position:  4-5 days per week (0.8 -.09FTE) - Parking is included. (Please specify your preferred position in your application).

To be successful for this role you will:

• Hold current midwife or nursing and midwifery registration with AHPRA

• Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in both maternity services, gynaecology and ideally fertility

• Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style

• Be passionate about patient care and achieving high-quality clinical outcomes

• Be highly motivated to learn and willing to undertake continuing education and grow professionally
