Cleaner

Our independent and family owned child care centre in Leeming is searching for a reliable, energetic and organised person to join our friendly childcare team in an afternoon cleaning and house-keeping role.

This is a hands-on position helping us keep our childcare centre clean, organised and ready for the next day. The role is more varied than a traditional cleaning position and would suit someone who enjoys keeping busy and takes pride in making a space look clean and well cared for.

We already employ a cleaner who works in the evenings, this is an additional support cleaning role.

The role will be a trial to begin with for two months, September-October and is to help from 2.00pm-5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Some duties will include:

• Washing dishes, tables, kitchen items

• Hanging and putting washing away

• Cleaning toys, furniture and outdoors toys or equipment

• Detailed cleaning such as windows, cots, skirting boards.

• Helping to keep the environment tidy and organised, restocking materials,

• Deep cleaning different areas of the centre on a rotating basis

• General tidying and cleaning throughout the afternoon

• Cleaning up paints, craft materials and messy play equipment

• Helping keep storage and utility areas organised

• Assisting with other general cleaning and housekeeping jobs as needed

We are looking for someone who is reliable, efficient and able to work independently, with a good eye for what needs doing rather than always needing to be directed.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–5:00pm

For this role, you will be required to complete the Geccko Child Safety Training, WWC, Police Clearance and a Fit and Healthy Clearance. You will also need to provide at least two professional references.
