Well Engineer

About the Role

You will primarily be responsible for well proposals and design, providing operational plans and ensuring the technical integrity of well site planning and execution.

This position reports to the Senior Project Manager and will be based in Perth, WA. You may be required for ad-hoc travel to on-shore and off-shore locations around Australia. Actual work location can vary based on operational need.

Key Responsibilities

·       Creation of approval for expenditure and cost control of operations

·       Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and planning

·       Ensures proper communication within projects

·       Perform engineering studies to solve recurring problems

·       Prepare End-of-Well reports and contribute to knowledge management

·       Manage operational plug & abandonment challenges

·       Key liaison for internal & external stakeholders

Role Requirements

·       5+ years of experience in multi-discipline well-site operations

·       Degree in STEM or Petroleum Engineering

·       Experience in Wireline, Cementing or Coiled Tubing operations

·       Plug & Abandonment experience

·       Strong technical plan writing skills

·       Able to problem solve in dynamic environments

·       Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

·       Proficient in Well Deployment Modelling software (i.e Wellplan, Cerberus)

·       Well Control certification (Desirable)
