About the Role

Blackout Restaurant & Lounge is seeking an experienced Woodfire Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a chef who is confident working with a woodfire oven, understands dough preparation, and can maintain quality and consistency during high-volume service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pizzas in a woodfire oven

• Manage dough preparation including mixing, proofing, and fermentation

• Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation

• Maintain a clean and organised pizza section

• Work efficiently during busy service periods

• Assist with stock control and kitchen prep

• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience as a pizza chef (woodfire experience essential)

• Strong understanding of dough handling and fermentation processes

• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual, and well-organised

• Strong attention to detail
