Yatsal is one of Australia’s leading wholesale suppliers to the discount retail market, delivering thousands of products across seasonal and everyday categories to retailers nationwide.

We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and loves seeing their work come to life on shelves across Australia.

Reporting to our Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in designing high-impact retail packaging, product branding and marketing assets while helping shape the future of our creative team through emerging AI technologies.

What you’ll be doing

• Design packaging across a wide range of retail categories
• Create artwork for seasonal launches and everyday product ranges
• Develop product branding from concept through to print-ready artwork
• Produce marketing collateral including catalogues, POS, digital assets and promotional material
• Work closely with Category Managers and Product Teams to bring new products to market
• Prepare production-ready files for suppliers and manufacturers
• Maintain brand consistency across multiple product ranges
• Use AI-powered design tools to improve creative workflows and productivity
• Contribute ideas that continually improve our creative processes

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• 3-6 years’ experience in Graphic Design
• Experience designing retail packaging (highly regarded)
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale or retail environments
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
• Strong typography, layout and branding capability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• A proactive mindset and willingness to adapt in a fast-moving business
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate across teams

Bonus points if you have

• Experience using AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT or similar
• Experience preparing artwork for overseas manufacturers
• Photography or content creation skills
• Motion graphics or video editing experience
• Understanding of print production and packaging specifications
