About the role
About the role
You'll work alongside SAA-accredited electricians and electrical apprentices to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality solar and battery installations. This is a permanent position with a flexible compressed working week, consistent work and the opportunity to become a key member of a professional solar and battery installation crew.
Key responsibilities
Setting out residential and commercial solar arrays
Installing roof brackets, rails, rooftop equipment and solar panels
Measuring and marking array positions accurately
Locating rafters and selecting appropriate fixing methods
Completing tile, metal and other common roof penetrations correctly
Weatherproofing penetrations and protecting the integrity of the roof
Assisting with rooftop cable pathways and cable management
Installing rooftop equipment under the direction of the licensed electrician
Identifying cracked tiles, roof damage and potential installation risks
Loading, unloading and organising installation materials
About you
Have previous rooftop solar installation experience
Can confidently install brackets, rail and panels without constant supervision
Understand different roofing materials and fixing methods
Produce straight, secure and visually tidy solar arrays
Understand the importance of correct waterproofing
Are comfortable working safely at heights
Are physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work
Are reliable, punctual and organised
Work well as part of a professional installation team
Demonstrated solar roofing or rooftop solar installation experience
Essential Requirements
Construction White Card
Current Working Safely at Heights training
Current Australian driver's licence
Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
Reliable transport to our Gregory Hills base
Right to work in Australia
