Food Services Assistant

South Eastern Private Hospital (SEPH) is a 203 bed facility with a Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Medical/Oncology Palliative Care and Dialysis focus. We are conveniently located in the South Eastern suburbs at the intersection of Princes Highway & Eastlink in Noble Park.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced & enthusiastic person to join our team as a casual Food Service Assistant.  

The Food Service Assistant is responsible for food preparation, meal assembly and delivery of patient meals. This includes the serving of beverages, mid meal items, collection and cleaning of patient's trays, meal utensils and assists with cleaning of all food service equipment. This position includes manual handling work tasks.

Skills and experience:

• Two years experience in a hospital | medical food service setting

• Current Food Hygiene certificate

• Good knowledge of Manual Handling guidelines

• Understanding of OH&S

• Flexibility in working hours

• Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients to deliver high standard of service

• Ability to perform Manual Handling work tasks

• Applicants must hold a current Victorian Police check.
