Tacklewest Store Manager – Fishing & Outdoor Retail

TackleWest is one of Western Australia’s leading fishing tackle retailers, trusted by anglers across saltwater, freshwater, fly, and offshore game fishing. We’re looking for a driven and knowledgeable Store Manager to lead our Beckenham store and play a key role in the continued growth of the TackleWest brand.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who lives and breathes fishing, enjoys leading a team from the front, and takes pride in running a high-performing specialty retail store.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store while maintaining the high standards TackleWest is known for. You’ll combine your fishing knowledge with strong leadership and retail skills to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures

• Coach, train, and motivate the in-store team

• Deliver outstanding customer service backed by genuine fishing knowledge

• Provide expert product advice and tackle solutions to customers

• Manage stock levels, merchandising, and overall store presentation

• Oversee rosters, cash handling, and end-of-day procedures

• Ensure accurate processing of sales, orders, and deliveries

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and compliance

• Work closely with ownership to support store performance and growth

About You

• Strong fishing knowledge is essential (saltwater, freshwater, fly, or offshore)

• Proven retail leadership experience (Store Manager or Assistant Manager preferred)

• Confident communicator with strong people management skills

• Organised, reliable, and capable of running a store independently

• Customer-focused with a passion for helping anglers succeed

• Flexible availability, including weekends
