Paint Sales Assistant - Gladesville

Inspirations Paint is Australia’s leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams. The Inspirations Paint Store at Gladesville is looking for an enthusiastic part time Paint Sales Assistant. 

Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage.

The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training, Award wages and a uniform. Business hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am to 1:00pm Saturday. You may also be required to work at the Burwood Heights store.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional customer service to both retail and trade customers

• Tinting & mixing paint

• Following the "Inspirations Way"

• Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control and merchandising

• Assist with any deliveries as required

• Practice safe and correct manual handling

• Store presentation, stock management, housekeeping

• Ensuring Workplace Health & Safety requirements are met

• This role involves frequent heavy lifting and carrying, and some heavy lifting over 23kgs

Experience / Attributes

• Demonstrated customer service with personalised customer focus

• Well presented both in appearance and communication

• Able to contribute and work in a team environment

• Proven sales experience and a strong knowledge of paint and associated products

• Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or customer complaints

• Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to learn new systems

• Ability to load and unload vehicles within safety guidelines

• Honest, reliable and punctual

• Current valid driver's licence
