Job Description

Our Sous Chef supports our Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and team management. Offering the Hospitality award salary of $79,521 per annum, plus superannuation, this is a hands-on role that requires team leadership, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operationsLead, train and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a fun and collaborative workplaceIdentify learning and coaching opportunities to support our Heartists to grow their careersMonitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering stock as required while controlling food and labour costsEnsure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained by all team membersContribute to menu planning, seasonal updates and creative specials that align with our bar, restaurant and cafe identities as well as meeting Novotel brand standardsCoordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
