Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for: 

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across education, government, corporate, and institutional sectors. 

• Developing and maintaining relationships with schools, universities, community organisations, and corporate clients. 

• Supporting the preparation of tenders, proposals, and pricing submissions for contracted transport services and charter work. 

• Managing a portfolio of existing customer accounts, ensuring strong service delivery and identifying opportunities for growth. 

• Assisting with quoting and pricing for charter services and contracted transport routes. 

• Building and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities. 

• Working closely with operations and scheduling teams to ensure proposed services are operationally feasible and commercially viable. 

• Supporting the Commercial Manager in complex contract negotiations and customer engagement activities. 

• Attending client meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities. 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in a Business Development, Outbound Sales, or Account Management function. 

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Experience preparing tenders, proposals, or commercial submissions. 

• The ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in core and adjacent sectors. 

• The toolkit to generate new leads through prospecting efforts including email marketing campaigns. 

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 

• A proactive and organised approach to managing a sales pipeline. 

• Comfort working independently. 

• Experience in transport, logistics, infrastructure, or service-based industries will be highly regarded. 

• Previous experience working with schools or within the education sector, particularly in service delivery or contracted environments, would be advantageous.
