We’re looking for experienced Bartenders, Floor Staff and Waiters to join us at Bar Sophia

THE VENUE

In December 2025, the esteemed restaurateurs behind Marameo and Il Bacaro opened Bar

Sophia – a relaxed and exclusive neighbourhood bar and dining spot inspired by the

new-wave wine bars of Athens – nestled in the leafy surrounds of Central Park Village.

BARTENDERS

● Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and other beverages with skill and efficiency.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.

● Ensure compliance with RSA and all health and safety standards.

● Collaborate with the management team on the beverage menu and suggest

improvements.

● Provide exceptional guest service, addressing queries and requests promptly.

● Support the team during busy service periods and ensure smooth bar operations.

● Stay updated on industry trends to deliver a competitive and exciting drinks offering.

FLOOR STAFF / WAITER/ WAITRESS

● Deliver attentive and professional table service in line with the venue’s standards.

● Take and serve orders accurately, upselling where appropriate.

● Ensure guest satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.

● Work closely with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

● Support the team in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

● Hospitality is at your core – you’re approachable, welcoming, and positive.

● Strong knowledge of beverage service, wine, and cocktails (for bartenders) or fine

dining service (for waiters/waitresses).

● Ability to enhance customer service by managing guest interactions and resolving

issues promptly.

● Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

● Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

● Knowledge of RSA and workplace health and safety standards.

● Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
