Cylindrical Grinder

The Opportunity

Due to consistent growth and success across our business, Hardchrome Sales is now seeking a Leading Hand Cylindrical Grinder to join our well-equipped workshop located at Welshpool WA 6106.

We are looking for afternoon shift, 3.30pm till midnight  

You will still be hands-on with operating various sizes of cylindrical grinders (up to 5 meters long) and completing tasks such as grinding chrome off rods, polishing them for chroming, and finishing jobs post-chroming. Training will be provided where required.

About You

• Proven experience as a grinding operator or experience with hard chrome plating
• Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role (desirable)
• Read drawings, interpret written and verbal work instructions
• Ability to read and measure with metric and imperial micrometers (desirable)
• Able to lead by example and support a small team of operators
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads, allocate tasks, and maintain workflow efficiency
• A proactive and positive 'can do' attitude with a commitment to safety
