About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Assistant to support Partners Michael Clough and Kai-Chen Lamb in our Melbourne Tax practice on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Partners and wider practice to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of matters, clients and team priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing diaries, inboxes and communications, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinatedCoordinating meetings, commitments and key deadlines across mattersSupporting billing, expenses and WIP managementMaintaining matter administration, including file openings, conflicts checks and document managementProviding proactive operational support to the Partners and wider teamActing as a central point of coordination to keep the practice running smoothly in a fast-paced environment
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in a legal support role, ideally supporting a Partner in a fast-paced environmentStrong practice management skills, including billing, WIP management and legal systems knowledge (Elite 3E highly regarded)Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesStrong initiative, sound judgment and a proactive approachExceptional communication and relationship-building skillsStrong attention to detailA collaborative and people-focused mindset
