Chef - Inflight Catering - TSV airport

Looking for something different to the restaurant grind? If you’ve just finished your apprenticeship (or you’re in your first couple of years as a chef) and you want to build real production speed, consistency, and food safety discipline—this is a great next step.

Inflight Services Australia – Sky Snacks operates out of Townsville Airport, supplying RPT services, charter flights, and other functions. We run 8 rotating menus, so you’ll get variety and strong exposure to structured, high-standard food production.

• Day shifts only: Tuesday to Saturday 6:00am–2:00pm

• Stable full-time hours: 38 hours/week

• Aviation environment: fast-paced, high standards, tight timelines

• Systems + training: learn flight catering processes and dispatch paperwork (we’ll train you)

• Preparing and assembling inflight meals across multiple menus

• Following production plans, portion control, labelling, packing and dispatch standards

• Working to strict HACCP and aviation compliance requirements

• Supporting occasional non-aviation catering for functions/events (as required)

We run HACCP digitally using the Didge Food Safety platform, including automated monitoring, sensors, and digital records. If you’re comfortable with basic tech—or you learn quickly—you’ll do well.

• Qualified chef (recent apprenticeship graduates strongly encouraged to apply)
