About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Experience in the management and leadership required in a child and youth mental health service to enable the applicant to undertake the Clinical Nurse Consultant role within the Intake Team.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high level communication in a demanding multidisciplinary team environment with the need for high levels of risk sensitivity and case review.
• Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel and clinical expertise in clinical assessments and intervention to children, adolescents, parents/guardians, their families and other support systems. Specific knowledge and skills in Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and/or the treatment of eating disorders, would be highly regarded.
• Works collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal Queensland Health services including external government, non-government and private health sector service providers to achieve the optimum outcomes for the client.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical and operational leadership in quality improvement, service evaluation and research initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
• Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification (e.g. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree) or evidence of enrolment in such a program is essential for this role.
