What you will be doing in this role

At the San we’re passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors, and we’re looking for friendly, reliable Security Officers to join us in making that happen.

This role involves overseeing security systems across the hospital, conducting sitewide patrols, and responding to emergencies as they occur.

We have casual and permanent part-time positions available in our team. Either way, you’ll need to be available for rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. If you’re someone who takes pride in protecting others and enjoy working in a positive, supportive environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Who we’re looking for 

• Previous experience in a security role, along with a current Security Licence (minimum 1A)
• A valid NSW Driver’s Licence
• A positive attitude and calm, collected approach when handling challenges
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
• Strong observational abilities, with the capacity to remain alert and respond quickly when required
• Physical fitness and comfort with regular walking and standing for extended periods

What to expect

Successful candidates will be required to complete a range of pre-employment checks and assessments. These vary and could include professional references, functional questionnaire, a national police check, working with children check, vaccination evidence, among others.
