About the role
About Us
Liverpool Women’s Health Centre (LWHC), part of the South-West Sydney Women’s Health Centres network, provides women-centred health services that are safe, holistic, feminist and trauma-informed. We work alongside women in our community to improve health, wellbeing and access to care.
About the Role
We’re looking for two Registered Nurses to join our friendly, multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis (3 days per week each). You’ll provide holistic nursing care and support to women accessing our services; from clinical assessment and health education to supporting our Nurse Practitioner and visiting GPs, all within a trauma-informed, feminist model of care.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who wants to build their skills in women’s health, work with genuine clinical autonomy, and make a real difference in women’s lives.
About You
You will bring:
● Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (NMBA)
● Strong clinical, communication and interpersonal skills
● A genuine commitment to feminist, trauma-informed, women-centred care
● Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
● Current CPR certification and professional indemnity insurance
Desirable
● Experience in cervical screening is a bonus; training will be provided
● Experience in a community health and/or women’s health setting
● Experience working with CALD communities, First Nations women and/or LGBTQIA+ communities
What We Offer
● Mentoring for aspiring Nurse Practitioners; our endorsed NP is happy to support you through your university requirements
● Training provided in cervical screening if you do not already have this experience
● Competitive salary aligned with your qualifications and experience
● Salary packaging opportunities to increase your take-home pay
● Flexible working arrangements to support work–life balance
● 15 days personal leave (pro rata)
● A supportive, feminist, trauma-informed workplace culture where clinical autonomy and professional judgement are valued
● Ongoing professional development, clinical supervision and multidisciplinary team support
Equal Opportunity & Screening
LWHC is committed to fair, equitable and merit-based recruitment, and welcomes applications from women of all backgrounds. This position is a genuine occupational qualification for women under s31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). Successful applicants will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal Record Check and registration/qualification checks.
Should you have any questions about the role, please contact People and Culture Lead, Simin Gouran: ************@health.nsw.gov.au
