The role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (0.20 FTE - 2 days per fortnight). This role is responsible for maintaining the presentation, safety and functionality of our grounds and outdoor facilities, ensuring they are well maintained, welcoming and fit for use by students, staff and visitors.

The successful applicant will undertake a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weed control, garden maintenance and general upkeep of outdoor areas. The role also involves identifying and reporting maintenance issues, operating and maintaining grounds equipment safely, and contributing to a clean, safe and attractive environment.

We are looking for someone who:

Has practical experience in grounds or garden maintenance, landscaping or a similar field.
Can work independently, manage their time effectively and take pride in maintaining high standards.
Has experience operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment safely.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Is reliable, physically capable of undertaking outdoor work, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
