Service Centre Consultant - Mortgages

We are recruiting for a Service Centre Consultant to join a fast-paced mortgage support team based in Kogarah. This role involves supporting brokers by providing updates on the status of home loan applications and handling related enquiries.

This opportunity suits someone with a strong risk mindset, experience in customer service or contact centres, and an interest in banking or financial services.

About the role

• Handling inbound calls from mortgage brokers regarding the status of mortgage applications
• Providing accurate and timely updates in line with policies, procedures, and risk frameworks
• Working in a high-volume contact centre environment
• Managing multiple systems while maintaining attention to detail and compliance

Contract details

• 12-month contract
• Possibility to transition to permanent employment, subject to performance and business requirements

Working hours

• Monday to Friday rotating shifts
• Late shift until 8:00pm, (3 days per week)
• Standard shifts typically 9:00am - 5:00pm
• 4 weeks of full-time training, Monday to Friday (no late shifts during training)

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a contact centre environment, ideally within financial services or a fast-paced customer service setting
• Strong risk awareness and ability to follow defined processes
• Good financial acumen or interest in mortgages and lending
• Confident phone manner and clear communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple systems

Additional information

• On-site role based in Kogarah, Sydney
• Candidates must have full work rights suitable for a 12-month contract with potential permanent conversion
