About the role
Morphett Vale Dental Care
The opportunity:
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our esteemed team at Morphett Vale Dental Care. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dentist who is confident across a broad scope of general dentistry and, most importantly, shares our philosophy of valuing quality of care over quantity. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team in a beautiful, modern clinic equipped with up-to-date technology. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where both our patients and our team feel comfortable, valued and supported. Our team is excited to welcome the right person and help ease you into daily practice life, giving you the support and time to become familiar with our patients, systems and the way we work.
We are seeking a qualified Dentist to join our team initially for 2–3 days per week, covering maternity leave from February 2027 until early 2028, with the potential for an ongoing position within the clinic for the right candidate.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with both our Senior Dentist and Practice Owner, allowing you to further develop your clinical skills, confidence and experience within dentistry. Our Senior Dentist brings over 30 years of experience and is passionate about mentoring, sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of dentists as they grow within their careers.
About usMorphett Vale Dental Care is a family-run dental clinic located in Adelaide’s southern suburbs. We believe dentistry should be delivered with the same care, respect and consideration we would offer to our own family and friends.
Our approach is centred around making every patient feel seen, heard and involved in their care. We take the time to include patients in decisions about their treatment and aim to provide a gentle, supportive and personalised dental experience at every visit.
We are proud to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, respected and genuinely cared for throughout their treatment journey.
About youWe are looking for a clinician with ideally 2–3 years of experience whose values and approach to patient care align with our clinic and team. However, new graduates are also strongly encouraged to apply.
You value building long-lasting relationships with your patients and enjoy both the clinical and interpersonal aspects of dentistry. You understand that excellent dental care is not only about the treatment provided, but also about ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout their experience.
Ideally, you will:
Hold a recognised Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent dental qualification
Have ideally 2–3 years of clinical experience, although new graduates are welcome to apply
Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Be committed to expanding your scope, knowledge and clinical skills
Be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and clinical treatment
Communicate confidently and compassionately with patients, ensuring they feel seen, heard and involved in their care
Bring a positive, energetic and professional attitude to both the team and our patients
Have strong diagnostic and treatment-planning skills
Be available to work 2–3 days per week
Working in a modern clinic with up-to-date technology, including CEREC, digital scanning and OPG imaging
Caring for a loyal and established patient base, with many long-standing relationships built over the years
Working alongside an experienced and well-established hygiene team
The opportunity and encouragement to broaden your scope of practice and continue developing your clinical skills
Being part of a supportive and collaborative team that genuinely wants to see each other succeed
Access to mentoring and guidance throughout your time with the clinic
A patient-centred environment where quality of care and long-term relationships are prioritised
Working alongside a well-established hygiene team, allowing for a collaborative approach to patient care
2–3 days per week on a part-time basis, initially covering maternity leave, with the potential for an ongoing position for the right candidate
Support from a qualified Dental Assistant
No weekend work
No corporate bureaucracy
Onsite car parking
A varied clinical caseload, including restorative dentistry, root canal treatment, emergency care and more
A strong patient-centred approach to dentistry
Team bonding and social experiences outside of work
Encouragement and support to undertake further courses and professional development
A workplace where you will be valued, respected and supported by the entire team
