Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Property Services Team Leader at St Annes Hunters Hill, you will maintaining a physically safe, well maintained and secure home environment for our residents. Within this role you’ll be responsible for:

Executing the preventative maintenance program throughout the residential aged care homePerforming reactive repairs on items within the home as the need arisesManaging the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderlyTrade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building servicesStrong communication skills and a positive attitudeHands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman or building services roleStrong understanding of the practical application of workplace health and safety legislationAble to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residentsGreat IT skillsWillingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
