Murchison Mining Services (MMS) is a proudly Western Australian-owned business specializing in the fabrication of high-quality mining infrastructure. With a reputation for excellence and a growing portfolio of projects, we deliver custom-fabricated solutions to meet the unique demands of underground mining operations.
As we expand our operations in 2026 with a new workshop facility, we are seeking skilled and motivated Boilermaker / Welders to join our team. Southwest workshop location – be home every night
Competitive hourly flat rates plus super – dependent on experience

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, our Boilermaker / Welders are responsible for the quality fabrication of:
Underground escapeways
Pneumatic vent doors
Personnel access doors
Vent brattices & DBRs
Paste walls
Dewatering pipework (poly and steel)
Pumping infrastructure, and more
We value experience, but we’re also committed to training motivated individuals with the right attitude. Key requirements include:
Essential Criteria
Certificate III in Engineering (Metal Fabrication) is essential
Experience fabricating to AS/NZS 1554.1 standards
Ability to pass a weld test
C-Class Driver’s License
Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
Desirable Criteria
Experience fabricating pipework
Coded welding experience
Fork Lift License
HR License
Rigging Ticket
Work Readiness: Physically fit and capable of passing a pre-employment medical, functional assessment, and drug and alcohol screening.
Commitment to Safety: A proven track record of adhering to safety systems and maintaining high standards in quality of work and housekeeping.
