Our client, a well-established public practice accounting firm, is looking for an experienced Junior Manager/Supervisor to join their team. This newly created role sits alongside senior leadership, taking ownership of workflow and final review across the client list, with a clear path toward a Manager role of your own.

Purpose of the Role

The Supervisor bridges the gap between Senior Accountant and Manager. Working closely with two Managers, this role takes ownership of workflow and final technical review across the client list ensuring compliance work is fully complete and accurate before it reaches Manager/Director level for a high-level commercial check. It's a role with a clear runway: over time, it's expected to grow into a full Manager position with its own client list.

Key Responsibilities

Manage workflow across the client list, ensuring all tax compliance work is completed on time and within a reasonable turnaround Provide final review of compliance work — including workpapers and schedules — so Managers/Director only need to complete a high-level commercial check Support staff with technical queries and day-to-day questions Build client-facing capability, with scope to take on direct client contact Develop into the business advisory space, working alongside senior leadership Maintain awareness of ad hoc work in progress and provide support as needed Progress toward a full Manager role with an own client list as the business grows

Skills, Experience & Attributes

3–7 years' experience in public practice Strong technical grounding across core compliance work (tax, financial statements) CA/CPA qualified or working towards Demonstrated ability to review others' work accurately and give constructive feedback Comfortable communicating directly with clients on straightforward and moderately complex matters Organised, deadline-driven, and able to juggle multiple jobs and people at once Genuine interest in progressing toward people leadership, not just technical seniority
