Residential Manager Aged Care

About the role

Menarock LIFE is seeking an experienced Residential Manager for Aged Care to join our team in Camberwell, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful operation of our residential aged care facility. As Residential Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and strategic direction of the aged care residence (75 beds), ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the aged care facility, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery

• Lead, manage and supervise all staff members including nursing, care, and support teams, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities

• Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, regulatory requirements, registration standards and quality assurance frameworks

• Manage budgets, financial planning, procurement and resource allocation to optimise facility operations

• Foster a person-centred care culture that prioritises resident wellbeing, dignity, privacy and safety

• Conduct staff training, performance management and disciplinary processes as required

• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, external stakeholders and government bodies

• Address complaints and concerns from residents and families in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor and review quality indicators, incident reports and resident satisfaction data

• Contribute to strategic planning and improvement initiatives for the facility

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in nursing (degree level)

• Current AHPRA registration

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in aged care management preferably with strong re-registration expertise

• Current knowledge of aged care legislation, regulation and registration standards including the Aged Care Quality Standards

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain a diverse team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated financial management and budgeting experience

• Problem-solving ability with strong decision-making skills and sound judgment

• Proficiency in aged care management systems and Microsoft Office applications

• A compassionate and person-centred approach to aged care and a commitment to resident wellbeing

• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining professional standards and ethical conduct

• Desirable: IPC Lead qualification
