Permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced and adaptive Patient Service Assistant (PSA) to support our busy Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

The Role

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, and working closely with PACU, theatre and ward staff, the Patient Service Assistant is required to:

• Collection and transporting patients to and from the peri-operative area, PACU and wards
• Ensuring the recovery and pre-operative area is maintained appropriately and equipment requirements are met
• Assisting recovery RNs with patient positioning and necessary equipment needs
• Assisting with stock delivery and replenishment as required
• Cleaning and waste removal
• Carry out other duties under the direction of the team co-ordinator.

This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and ability to thrive on being a part of a busy recovery department. You will be working alongside a diverse team of doctors, nurses and non-clinical staff.  

About You

• Certificate III in Health Service Assistance or equivalent is essential 
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required
• Be available for a range of shifts across a 7 day rotating roster

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $28.84 - $31.05 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
