About the role
Busy roller shutter manufacturer is seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Hand to join our production team at our Craigieburn facility. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the assembly and process work sector of the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our manufacturing operations, contributing directly to the quality of our products and the efficiency of our production line. You will work on-site at our Craigieburn, VIC location, where you'll be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional roller shutters to our customers.
Key responsibilities
Cut Aluminium components to size
Use hand held power tools to assemble made to measure roller shutters
Assist with loading and unloading materials and products
Assist with deliveries to customers and to site
General workshop cleaning and maintenance
Packaging of roll formed materials
Following instructions from supervisors and production schedules accurately
What we're looking for
Experience in roller shutter manufcturing ideal but not essential
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Reliability and punctuality with a genuine commitment to attendance
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production demands
A valid driver's licence
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly work, or factory environments would be advantageous
A proactive attitude towards health and safety in the workplace
Experience with working with hand tools
