Chronic pain is complex and optimally treated in a multi-disciplinary pain management program (including physiotherapy, psychology and medical). Evidence on the effectiveness of our programs have been demonstrated compared to 120 other pain management providers in the Electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration (ePPOC).
Applicants do not need experience in pain psychology and full training and mentoring is provided. All our practitioners are committed to life long learning and a process of continuous improvement of our clinical standards. Your caseload will be 60% chronic pain and 40% general psychology patients (negotiable).

About this opportunity
We are currently looking for a full time or part time psychologist (minimum 3 days per week) to join our multi-disciplinary team at our Clyde North practice.
More information about this role includes:
Above award rate with FT salary up to $125,000 + super (estimated approx. $140k total package) for 38 hours/week including leave
Well suited to psychologists interested in developing skills in pain psychology and various psychological interventions (including ACT, CBT)
Flexible hours and caseload mix of telehealth and face to face (primarily face to face)
Comprehensive induction, and ongoing training and mentoring (individual and group supervision sessions)
Annual professional development allowance of $500
Caseload size graduated depending on progress with induction and training, with caseload monitoring to ensure a balance of presentations
Career progression pathways with regular individual support to achieve career goals
Options to work as a contractor to earn much higher income with greater flexibility
Industry leading reception and administrative support, including marketing and referral support
Collaborative team environment with regular case conference and team meetings, and support always available to support your growth to become an expert clinician
Additional training opportunities depending on individual interests including research, business, technology, or clinical special interests (eg trauma informed practice, DBT, EMDR)
Work with over 70 expert medical and allied health professionals in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse team of physicians, psychologists, and physiotherapists
Options to participate in our world-class clinical research projects (including publication opportunities) with a focus on persistent pain, mental health problems and ACT/CBT)
About you
Full registration with AHPRA (not probationary registration)
2-5 years experience ideal (but early career psychologists with interest in the role are encouraged to apply)
Experience or a genuine interest in developing high level clinical skills in pain psychology as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary pain management team
Looking for a long term role with career opportunities to help you fulfil your potential clinically and commercially
Current laptop or desktop machine no more than 3 years old and with 16GB RAM with a subscription to Microsoft 365 standard (with access to the desktop versions of Word, Excel, Outlook)
