Cladding Installer

About the role

Coastal Cladding is seeking an experienced Cladding Installer or Tradesman wanting to learn to join our growing team. This can full-time position based on the Mornington Peninsula. As a Cladding Installer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality exterior cladding solutions to our clients across the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding regions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that every project meets our exacting standards for craftsmanship, durability and aesthetic appeal.

What you'll be doing

• Installing various types of external metal cladding panels to residential properties

• Preparing and measuring surfaces accurately to ensure precise fitting and alignment of cladding materials

• Using hand tools, power tools and specialised equipment safely and effectively to cut, shape and secure cladding materials

• Ensuring all fixings, flashing and waterproofing details are installed correctly to prevent water ingress and ensure long-term durability

• Following project specifications, building codes and safety regulations throughout all installation work

• Collaborating with team members and site supervisors to maintain project schedules and meet client expectations

• Conducting quality checks on installed cladding to ensure finish standards are met

• Maintaining tools, equipment and work sites in a clean and safe condition

• Reporting any issues or defects to supervisors promptly and assisting with remedial work as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Metal Cladding Installer or similar building trade role

• Solid knowledge of different cladding materials and installation techniques

• Competency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment

• Working at heights and comfort with scaffold or ladder work

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites across the region

• Preferred: Trade qualifications or relevant apprenticeship completion in building or carpentry trades
