About the role
The Byrnecut Group
With nearly 6,000 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialized underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.
We are currently seeking applications from experienced Auto Electricians to join our International Projects.
Reporting to the Underground Leading Hand, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Maintain and repair varied electrical systems on a diverse range of mobile equipment, heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles.
Using analytical and critical thinking to accurately diagnose machine faults and breakdowns
Preventative maintenance across the underground mobile fleet
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
The necessary trade qualifications
Experienced in the repairs of an underground mining fleet
Appropriate experience in an underground maintenance environment
Remote control experience
Sandvik, Caterpillar and Normet equipment experience
A current passport
A strong commitment to safe work practices
Be self-motivated and willing to liaise and interact with local cultures
Be able and willing to live offshore for the rostered period
Valid First Aid Certificate desirable
