Senior Software Engineering Manager, ACV Retail

Who we are looking for:We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead and scale our product engineering teams in ACV India within our ACV Retail program. You will be a strong people leader who drives execution, fosters cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Product, Operations, and business stakeholders, and delivers high-quality solutions predictably and sustainably. In this role, you will build self-organizing teams, streamline engineering operations using modern delivery metrics (DORA, DevEx), manage career growth, and ensure the overall health and operational excellence of your teams. What will you do: Manage one or more experienced software engineering teams by mentoring and nurturing team members through 1:1s, effectively evaluating and guiding individual performance. Cultivate elite engineering squads, promoting continuous growth, superior technical standards, and strong talent retention. Partner with Product Management, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that achieve company goals. Lead and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, delivery metrics, and tooling across the department. Expand and strengthen our technology teams by recruiting elite talent and engaging externally with partners, conferences, universities, and open-source communities. Own technical debt prioritization, cloud infrastructure cost management, and overall quality standards for your teams. What you should have: 10+ years of experience in the software development field. 5+ years leading engineering teams of 10+ people from both a functional and people management perspective. Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for business-critical applications, cloud-based architectures, and scalable services. Experience partnering effectively with Product Management, cross-functional stakeholders, and complex enterprise organization structures to unblock teams. Proven track record in managing execution, priorities, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives. Hands-on familiarity with modern tech stacks: Domain-Driven Design, Python, Node, Vue, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, and/or Postgres. Ability to track and proactively manage cloud operational expenses (OpEx) for running services.
