Leading Hand - Metal Roofer

Brownlow Built is a small, homegrown roofing and carpentry company run by a husband and wife duo, with crews working from Gympie down to North Brisbane.

We're on the hunt for two Leading Hands to run our roofing crews, starting as soon as you're available.

This is a job for someone who can take a set of plans and run the job from start to finish, keeping the crew moving without being chased. If you've been doing the work for a while but haven't had the chance to run it, this is that step.

What you'll be doing

• Running roofing jobs from start to finish

• Reading plans, measuring and drawing roof plans and flashings

• Leading the crew and delegating the work

• Keeping us in the loop on how the job's tracking

What you'll need

• 4 years' minimum experience

• Confidence leading a crew and delegating duties

• Ability to read plans and manage a job start to finish

• Ability to measure and draw roof plans and flashings

• Strong communication skills

• White Card

• Own tools

• Driver's licence

A trade ticket is preferred but not essential — we care more about what you can do on the roof and how you lead a team.

What you get

• $100,000 – $120,000 annual salary, plus super

• Weekly pay

• Annual and sick leave

• Company vehicle and fuel card

Where the work is

Gympie, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and North Brisbane. You'll be wherever the work is that week, so you'll need to be happy to travel.
